Aramark opens third plant and accelerates its growth strategy in Chile

The multinational food service company acquired Innovalim, located in Pudahuel, to scale up its “cook & chill” production capacity. The system involves cooking followed by rapid cooling.

Aramark Chile’s purchase of the Innovalim facility in the municipality of Pudahuel supports its expansion plan for the local market. The acquisition is the latest in a series of investments, which already includes the purchase of Vendomática a few months ago and the launch of its own facility in 2024.

The deal adds new “cook & chill” food-production capacity. The system, which involves cooking followed by rapid cooling, enables standardization and larger-scale distribution, thereby enhancing the scalability of Aramark’s production and distribution model.

With the new facility, the company now operates two production plants and a distribution center in Chile.

Aramark views the acquisition as part of a transformation to support the growth of its operations and client portfolio. “We continue to advance our growth plan in Chile via acquisitions and expanded production capacity,” said Eduardo Rojas, President of Aramark Latin America, emphasizing the company’s goal of building “an increasingly robust, efficient and future-ready operation.”

The acquisition is part of the company’s strategy leading up to 2030.

Following the purchase, Aramark will begin a transition process to start production at the new plant in the months ahead.
