US customer operations company Front, established its Chilean presence in July of last year and already has a team of 24 in Santiago. Their goal is to grow the Santiago hub to over 100 professionals in engineering, design, finance, and human resources, fully integrating it into its global teams within the next three years.

Front has staff in five cities: San Francisco, Chicago, Paris, Dublin, and now Santiago, its first location in Latin America, with more than 300 employees worldwide. The benefits for professionals hired in Chile will be comparable to those at other Front offices: competitive salaries, supplemental health insurance, a wellness bonus, an education bonus and additional days off for well-being and relaxation.

“We are making a deliberate bet on Latin America, and Santiago in particular, because of the amazing talent there. Our focus is on building our hub in Santiago. However, we are open to hiring talent from other regions of the country depending on the role,” explains Arjen Mackaaij, Chief People Officer at Front.

The roles require good verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English. Currently, employees are remote and come in occasionally, but they expect to be in the office 3 days a week once in a larger office space. The open job listings are available at https://front.com/jobs.

Why has the company chosen Chile for its entry into the region? “We chose Chile because it has the right mix of what we need to grow: strong tech talent, top universities, and a time zone that works well with both the U.S. and Europe. Chile also makes it easier to bring in skilled professionals from across the region through its residency program. That combination makes it a natural hub for our expansion in Latin America,” states Dan O’Connell, CEO of Front.

Francisco Mardones, who advised the company on its arrival in the country, points out that InvestChile was a key partner in facilitating and communicating the landing process. “Having a specialized promotion agency is a differentiator among countries in the region and significantly contributes to making Chile a reliable investment destination. We look forward to continuing to provide this support as Front’s growth plans materialize,” he concludes.
