The Spanish company promises to offer cheaper gasoline than other industry players, open 24/7 with a 100% self-service system.

The wait has been long since it made the announcement, but finally Petroprix opened its first gas station in Chile. The European company arrived with a promise: to offer cheaper gasoline than other industry players, open 24/7 with a 100% self-service system.

The gas station is located in the Las Vizcachas sector, specifically at Camino a San José de Maipo 6195. It will also be opening a point of sale in October at Vicuña Mackenna 106, Providencia. As reported by Radio ADN, in addition to the locations mentioned above, the Spanish brand’s short-term plan includes Peñaflor and the Valparaíso and O’Higgins regions.

“Our model has already transformed the fuel purchasing experience in Europe, and now we want to contribute to the Chilean market,” said Juan Carlos Santiago, co-founder of the company.

The Spanish company’s arrival in Chile is part of its global expansion process, which aims to double the size of the group, aspiring to have a network of 400 automatic gas stations by 2028 and reach 1.5 billion euros in revenue.

“The self-service gas station model is very successful in Spain and has not been developed much in other countries. It is an opportunity to grow in new markets, and our goal is to continue adding more territories,” Manuel Santiago, founder and CEO of Petroprix, told El Periódico .
