Written by InvestChile | September,15,2025

The partnership aims to train over 100 graduates in Salesforce technologies, boosting digital employability and strengthening the readiness of the Chilean workforce to face the challenges of the digital economy.

With the launch of the Salesforce Sales & Services: Skills for the Future program, Chile has taken another step in its strategy to close the digital skills gap and attract more investment linked to the knowledge economy.

The initiative, led by Salesforce and Talento Digital para Chile, is part of the Protagonists of the Digital Economy program and aims to train more than 100 Talento Digital graduates, providing them with cutting-edge skills in information technology (IT).

This joint effort highlights the importance of public-private collaboration in responding to a rapidly evolving global scenario. According to the World Economic Forum (WEF), 39% of job skills will change by 2030, with technological skills expected to grow the fastest over the next five years.

Public-private collaboration supporting workforce reskilling

The launch event brought together government authorities, companies, and international organizations, demonstrating a broad commitment to strengthening Chile’s advanced human capital.

Participants included Romanina Morales, National Director of the National Training and Employment Service (Sence); Juan Pablo Candia, Head of the Strategy and Investment Climate Division at InvestChile; Cristóbal Bocaz, Director of the Service Export Program at the Ministry of Finance; representatives from the U.S. Embassy; and private sector players.

All those involved agreed on the importance of this type of initiatives to prepare the workforce for the challenges of the digital economy, diversify exports, and improve Chile’s competitiveness.

The leaders driving transformation

During the ceremony, Marcelo Guajardo, Salesforce Government Affairs and Public Policy Manager for the Southern Cone, highlighted that «the emergence of technologies like artificial intelligence and digital agents opens up unprecedented opportunities, but also causes profound disruption in the labor market. (…) That is why companies must take an active role in talent training and reskilling.»

«This initiative is an opportunity for our graduates to enter the technology job market, connect with companies seeking specialized profiles and access a global community that supports their development,» said Jeannette Escudero, Executive Director of Talento Digital para Chile.

Cristóbal Bocaz, from the Ministry of Finance, noted that «programs like this are crucial for the country’s development. They not only promote workforce reskilling and improve our advanced human capital, but also help diversify our exports with the digital economy as a strategic pillar.»

A concrete investment in IT employability

This year, the initiative doubled its places compared to the previous edition, and is focused on profiles with skills in sales and services who are capable of managing the entire customer relationship cycle.

The program includes 12 one-hour weekly online sessions, led by volunteer mentors from partner companies, access to the free Trailhead learning platform, and networking opportunities with companies in the Salesforce and Talento Digital ecosystem.

Additionally, this initiative builds on previous reskilling programs implemented by the two institutions, such as Women X Talento Digital: Salesforce Administrators (2023) and Salesforce Developers (2024), which have already shown tangible results in integrating digital talent into the Chilean labor market.

The launch of Salesforce Sales & Services: Skills for the Future is a clear indication that Chile is advancing in preparing its workforce for the jobs of the future.

With the support of public institutions, private companies, and international partners, this initiative strengthens Chile’s position as a reliable investment destination in the digital economy and a leader in workforce reskilling policies in Latin America.
